Since January of 2018, all NISP partners are required by the DCSA to adopt the Risk Management Framework (RMF) outlined in NIST 800-37. This framework dictates how Information Systems (IS) must be authorized, following standards in the DAAPM.
The RMF module within Access Commander® automates RMF Assessment and Authorization processes by identifying systems, their protection status, and storing protection plans alongside personnel authorizations. With this module, FSOs can proactively stay on top of the latest security regulations and compile information needed to prove compliance.
The transition from the Defense Information Assurance Certification & Accreditation Process (DIACAP) to RMF has not been easy, but the final result should enhance the overall security of your IS and coordinate security with IT staff. Our RMF module will be there with you every step of the way.
